O’Donoghue’s also sets the record straight about true Irish traditions Arizona’s newest authentic Irish Pub, O’Donoghue’s, is celebrating its first St. Patrick’s Day holiday by hosting a special "St. Patrick’s Party Weekend" event Friday through Monday, March 14 to March 17. O’Donoghue’s is located at 20469 N. Hayden Road on the southeast corner of Hayden Road and Thompson Peak Parkway, just minutes north of the 101 Freeway. According to Paul Diskin, O’Donoghue’s general manager and partner, the restaurant is renting a special tent for live entertainment throughout the weekend. The tent will be attached to the restaurant so patrons can have easy access to it. In addition, on Monday, March 17, patrons can enjoy a traditional Irish breakfast along with a limited menu of Irish fare for lunch and dinner. "Come see how St. Patrick’s Day is really celebrated in Ireland," Diskin said. "For example, in Ireland, people do not drink green beer or dye their food green. Also, it was the American Irish who created corned beef and cabbage. But, one thing will always remain true. The Irish know how to throw a party, and our party is one you won’t want to miss!"
